Hip-Hop Bio: Ruff Ryders Entertainment is a New York-based record label and management company, specializing in hip hop music. Rakim, Busta Rhymes, and Eve all enjoyed noteworthy yet ultimately brief tenures with the label. The three brothers were separated in their adolescent years, but Joaquin Dean was determined to unite and work together. She began calling herself "Gangsta" while performing with EDGP, but she changed her name to "Eve of Destruction" after the dup broke up. The situation between Hov and DMX eventually led to Earl packing up his dog house and taking his talents to Columbia Records in 2006, where he released his album Year of The DogAgain. He is the President of Ca$hville Records, though he is currently serving time in prison for gun possession. Since 1988, Ruff Ryders has thrived off of being familial. He released his first album in 2003 called Walk Witt Me. He later on released After Taxes, Silverback Gorilla, Life on D-Block and Donnie G: Don Gorilla. He has toured with Ghostface Killah and members of the Wu-Tang Clan and D-Block, all of whom are now collaborating with one another for an album. His real name is Earl Simmons, but he is better known by his stage name of DMX or Dark Man X.
